'Schoten' is a
municipality located in the
Belgian province of
Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Schoten proper. On
January 1 2006 Schoten had a total population of 33,160. The total area is 29.55
km² which gives a
population density of 1,122 inhabitants per km².

The commune of Schoten lies between

Merksem [in the west] and
Deurne [in the south west]

Brasschaat [in the north],

The commune counts approximately 33.000 habitants.
Schoten is a green haven [30% of the commune exists out of forest area], only 10 km away from the citycenter of
Antwerp.
