Protecting Scotland’s wildlife for the future

With 28,500 members, the Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) is Scotland’s leading voluntary body conserving its wildlife and natural environment. SWT acquired its first wildlife reserve in 1966 and now has more than 120 reserves throughout Scotland with visitor centres at Loch of Lowes (Perthshire), Montrose Basin (Angus) and Falls of Clyde (Lanarkshire). As well as providing homes for wildlife these sites are valuable places for people to interact and enjoy wildlife. Our work also has a political dimension, we influence and challenge legislation for the benefit of wildlife.
