SEOCHO-GU


'Seocho-gu' is a ''gu'' of Seoul, South Korea. It is a ritzy, upper-class ward located in the southeast of the city. Seocho-gu is home to the majority of Seoul's French population, as well as many other foreigners including diplomats. As a result, it has a number of fancy cafes, restaurants and hotels. It is walking distance from the Seoul's main Marriott hotel and the Gangnam Shopping Center and subway line. It is equally served by Seoul Subway Line 2, Seoul Subway Line 3, and Seoul Subway Line 7. Headquarters of Samsung Group are located in Seocho-dong in Seocho-gu, near Gangnam Station. It is also the location of the infamous Sampoong Department Store collapse of 1995.
