SEYMOUR GILBART-DENHAM
Lieutenant-Colonel 'Sir Seymour Gilbart-Denham', KCVO (born 10 October 1939) (Life Guards, was Crown Equerry in the Royal Mews of the Royal Household of the Sovereign of the United Kingdom 1987-2002.
Gilbart-Denham was born the son of a Lieutenant-Colonel who was to die in the Norwegian campaign. He was educated at Tabley House and Sandhurst, and joined the Life Guards 9 January 1960. He retired 1 July 1988.
He served in the United Kingdom, Germany, Cyprus, and the Far East. He was regimental adjutant 1965-1967. He was promoted to Captain 10 October 1966, Acting Major 6 December 1973, Major 31 December 1974, and Lieutenant-Colonel 30 June 1986.
He was Commanding Officer Hyde Park Barracks before becoming Commanding Officer Household Cavalry Regiment 1986-1987.
Gilbart-Denham was made a CVO in 1994, and promoted to KCVO in 2002.
