SHALIM

(Redirected from Shalem)

'Shalim' is the god of dusk in the pantheon of Ugarit. He is the twin brother and counterpart of Shahar the god of dawn. The name
★ shalem, which is a Semitic root meaning Wholeness (and later extended to the concept of Peace as creatures and buildings are only whole in peacetime), is given to the god from the sense of the wholeness / completion of the day[citation needed].
