SHERIDAN SMITH


'Sheridan Smith' (born 25 June 1981 in Epworth, North Lincolnshire) is an English actress.
She is perhaps best known for playing Janet Keogh (née Smith) in the BBC sitcom ''Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps''. In ''Two Pints'', Janet is the girlfriend and eventual wife of Jonny Keogh, played by Ralf Little. Little and Smith also previously played boyfriend and girlfriend in ''The Royle Family'', as the characters Anthony Royle and Emma Kavanagh.
In 2004, she made a one-episode appearance in Mile High as Suzy, an airport cleaner who was so desperate to become cabin crew, she impersonated a flight attendant.
Smith played Cleo Martin in ''Love Soup'' and also appeared as Michelle, a hypocritical nutritionist, in the sitcom ''Grownups'' - arguably the first time she has played the lead character in a TV series. The series first aired on 7 May 2006 on BBC Three. She has also appeared on ''The Lenny Henry Show'' as M.E. Westmocott, a role spoofing the various medical examiners on ''.
Smith plays companion Lucie Miller alongside Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor in a new radio series of ''Doctor Who'', produced by Big Finish and transmitted on BBC 7 from New Year's Eve 2006; she will also play Audrey in the stage production of ''Little Shop of Horrors'' at The Menier Chocolate Factory, London, from November 2006 which has now moved to The Duke Of York's Theatre, and due to a very successful run will now move again to The New Ambassadors Theatre.
Smith has recently finished filming the second series of "Grownups" at the BBC Television Centre, which started to air on 5 August 2007.
