SIDNEY-RICHLAND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
'Sidney-Richland Municipal Airport' is a public airport located one mile (2 km) west of the central business district (CBD) of Sidney, a city in Richland County, Montana, USA. The airport covers 335 acres and has two runways. It is mostly used for general aviation, but is also served by one commercial airline. Service is subsidized by the Essential Air Service program.
The airport made international news in December 2006 when a German tourist intending to visit Sydney, Australia (SYD) booked a ticket to Sidney-Richland (SDY) and traveled as far as Billings, Montana before realizing his mistake.[1]
