SINDLESHAM

'Sindlesham' is an estate village in the civil parish of Winnersh in the English county of Berkshire.
It is located south-east of Reading and adjoins Winnersh village. It has a long history: mention is made of a chapel being built here in 1220. There is a large hotel here which at one time was a three-storey watermill on the River Loddon. Also nearby is the estate of Bearwood House, built in 1864 by John Walter, the then proprietor of The Times newspaper, now Bearwood College. The village is home to the famous ''Nirvana Spa'', and contains the offices of Winnersh Parish Council and the Berkshire Masonic Centre at Sindelsham House. There are also two golf courses, Bearwood and Bearwood Lakes.
