SISTERS OF ST FRANCIS OF THE MARTYR ST GEORGE

The 'Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George' is a Roman Catholic religious order for women whose mother house is in Germany and the American provincial motherhouse is in Alton, Illinois. They have convents in the Diocese of La Crosse, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Archdiocese of St. Louis, among many others. The Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, was founded in 1869 by Mother M. Anselma Bopp, in Thuine, Germany.
