SIX NATIONS

The term 'Six Nations' may refer to:

★ The Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy, a union of Native American/First Nations: the Cayuga, Oneida, Onandaga, Mohawk, Seneca, and Tuscarora. The original confederacy consisted of the first five nations; The Tuscarora Nation joined the Confederacy in the early 1700's. They were being captured and sold into slavery, so they escaped and moved north to join the Confederacy.

★ The Six Celtic Nations: Brittany (''Bretagne'' / ''Breizh''), Cornwall (''Kernow''), Wales (''Cymru''), Ireland (''Éire''), Isle of Man (''Mannin''), and Scotland (''Alba'')

★ Six Nations 40, Ontario, an Indian reserve

★ The Six Nations Championship, an annual international rugby union competition between major teams in the Northern Hemisphere
