The company motto is "Fast, Convenient, Affordable", and brands itself as an alternative to the "big box" fitness centers such as Lifetime Fitness and Bally Total Fitness. Snap Fitness operates through franchising, and currently features over 300 locations in 45 states, as well as 2 Canadian provinces.
Most locations are open 24 hours a day and 7 days per week. Membership options include individiual, family, and corporate memberships. Square footage of a Snap Fitness may range anywhere from 1,500 to 4,500 square feet, while some larger clubs do exist.
