SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH COUNCIL
The 'Social Science Research Council' (SSRC) is an organization created to foster research into social science.
The SSRC was founded in 1923 and is based in New York. According to their website, the SSRC "mobilizes researchers, policy makers, professionals, activists, and other experts from the private and public sectors to develop innovative approaches to issues of critical social importance."
Since the 1980's, the SSRC has launched over thirty projects on a wide range of topics related to globalization, political and economic development, race, health, international security, human migration, and information technology.
