WHY SHOULD THE FIRE DIE?

(Redirected from Somebody More Like You)

'''Why Should The Fire Die''' is the third major album release by the progressive acoustic trio Nickel Creek. Released on August 9, 2005 in the United States, ''Why Should the Fire Die?'' is the first Nickel Creek album to feature Mark Schatz on upright bass, as well as the first time the band had percussion instruments of any kind on a recording of theirs. It's the band's third official album, following ''This Side'' of Summer 2002 and their self titled debut album released in Spring 2000. ''Why Should the Fire Die?'' earned Nickel Creek two Grammy nominations-- the award for Best Contemporary Folk Album and the award for Best Country Instrumental Performance (''Scotch & Chocolate'').
This album is a bit of a jump from their earlier works, in adding more rock.
They also seem to have come into their own vocally, putting more thought into who will sing what and how they will do so. Chris Thile once again takes the lead on most of the songs, but Sara Watkins sings in many songs as well such as Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow is a Long Time", and the song she originally wrote "Anthony". Sean Watkins also gets in on the action singing "Somebody More Like You".
Nickel Creek released two singles from ''Why Should the Fire Die?'', ''When In Rome'' and ''Jealous of the Moon''. Although both songs were singles, ''When In Rome'' was the only one with a music video. [1]
