SONY RADIO ACADEMY AWARDS

The 'Sony Radio Academy Awards' (the 'Sonys'), started in 1983, are some of the most prestigious awards in the British radio industry. They are run by the Radio Academy. The categories for the award are decided by an annual committee, with the aim to include all the main genres from contemporary music, news and speech through to radio drama, and not discriminating against station size, or niche categories.
