New busways announced in the South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program will run from the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital along Lutwyche and Gympie Roads to Chermside (the Northern Busway, connecting with the present Inner-Northern Busway), between Capalaba and Brisbane via Carindale and Old Cleveland Road, crossing the South East Busway at Buranda Busway Station (the Eastern Busway) and the Boggo Road Busway to the University of Queensland at St Lucia, via the Green Bridge. Additional busways may be constructed between Redcliffe and Petrie and in the southern and western parts of the city. Bus lanes and priority measures are in place or are planned for most major roads in greater Brisbane.
Transit lanes on the Pacific Motorway will enable better connections between the South East Busway, Springwood and Loganholme with additional stations in between at Underwood and Paradise Road, for the benefit of Logan City Bus Service passengers travelling to the city.
