'South Bucks' is one of four local government district in the non-metropolitan county of Buckinghamshire, in South East England.
It was formed on April 1, 1974 by the merger of Beaconsfield urban district and part of Eton Rural District. It was originally known as 'Beaconsfield', but adopted its present name in 1980. It is formally called 'South Bucks' rather than 'South Buckinghamshire'.
