It is located just south of Grand Turk, close to the Silver Bank Marine Sanctuary off the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. It also sits on the edge of the 7000 foot Columbus Passage so the diving is grand. This episode, prepared by David Cuoio, provides an excellent introduction to the island and the diving there. |
![]() | AM DX WCBS 880 from Half Moon Cay Bahamas Jan 20 08 This audio/video file shows the setup used to pick up New York's WCBS AM 880 station aboard a cruise ship sailing away fro Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas heading south. The video was captured using a Flip Video flash-camcorder. The audio was captured by FM modulating the walkman audio with a C Crane FM Stereo TRansmitter link-coupled by wire to the antenna formed by a earphone plugged into an Iriver T10 FM MP3 recorder. The video and audio clips were independantly downloaded to a laptop where they were merged and title edited and recoded to an mpeg file |

The reefs here offer little protection from the prevailing ocean currents which means French Cay dives are great sites for spotting pelagic animals. The day we did this dive, it was mating season for Trunkfish, so they were around in abundance doing their courting dances. |

This is a video collage of various locations traveled to in the Bahamas with pilot Cay Gottlieb in his single engine Cherokee 6 and producer Dave Mackey on camera.
