SOUTHWEST PACIFIC RAILROAD
The 'Southwest Pacific Railroad' is a defunct U.S. railroad. It was a predecessor of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway.
The U.S. state of Missouri repossessed the assets of the Pacific Railroad in 1866. The state then sold the railroad to John C. Fremont, who reorganized it as the Southwest Pacific. In 1870, it was acquired by the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad.
