'Soyapango' is a municipality in the San Salvador department of El Salvador. Soyapango is a commercial center, even with a new modern mall called Plaza Mundo.
The municipality is the second most populated area in the country with over 350,000 people. Every day almost 70,000 vehicles going to San Salvador travel through Soyapango.
Soyapango is the main entrance for people of the ''oriente'' or the eastern area of the country to San Salvador.
