SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

'Spanish National Honor Society' (Spanish: 'Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica') is an academic honor society focused on Spanish and Portuguese language excellence in secondary education and promotes a continuity of interest in Hispanic studies. The group, which was established in 1953 in the United States is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Society members are usually referred to as "Honor Spaniards."
