SPANISH PEAKS

The 'Spanish Peaks' are a pair of volcanic mountains in the southeastern part of the US State of Colorado. They lie in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as an eastern outlier of the otherwise non-volcanic Culebra Range. They were an important landmark on the Santa Fe Trail.
