ST. ELIZABETH REGIONAL HEALTH

'St. Elizabeth Regional Health' is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services (SSFHS) hospital system. Formed in 1998, it owns and operates Home Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center, both in Lafayette, Indiana.
St. Elizabeth Regional Health is licensed by the Indiana State Board of Health and is a member of the Catholic Health Association of the United States and Canada, the Indiana Hospital Association and the American Hospital Association .
The organization adopted its current name in May 2007; it previously operated as Greater Lafayette Health Services, Inc. (GLHS).

GLHS announced in late 2005 that it planned to close both St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Home Hospital in favor of a new 150-bed facility to be built along Creasy Road on the city's east side. Site preparation for the new facility began on October 13, 2006, and building construction is expected to begin in spring or summer of 2007 with occupation occurring in 2009.
