STATIELLI

The 'Statielli', 'Statiellātes', or 'Statiellenses' were a small Ligurian tribe which inhabited an area south of the river Padus (today the Po). Their chief town was Statiellae Aquae (Acqui Terme), on the road from Genua (Genoa) to Placentia (Piacenza).
