STEVE GENTER
'Robert Steven ("Steve") Genter' (born January 4, 1951) is a former freestyle swimmer from the United States, who won the gold medal in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany. Genter suffered a collapsed lung only days before the event. Swimming without the consent of his doctors the 21-year old also captured two silver medals, in the 200m and the 400m Freestyle.
