STRAND PALACE HOTEL

The 'Strand Palace Hotel' is a large hotel on the north side of the Strand, London, England. It was erected after Exeter Hall was demolished in 1907. It opened in 1909 and was originally built in the Art Deco style, but has now been modernised. Some of its original features are held in the archives of the Victoria and Albert Museum, including the spectacular entrance designed by Oliver P. Bernard.
Close by on the south side of the Strand is the more luxurious Savoy Hotel.
