★ '1920:' A signal box was established here.

★ '1925:' The signal box was destroyed by fire following a lighting strike.

★ '1970:' The signal box was removed.

★ '1972:' The station closed to all goods traffic.

★ '1972:' All buildings were removed and replaced with a platform shelter.

★ '1995:' The old weatherboard Avondale Train Station building was relocated to this station. It is now home to the Swanson Station Cafe.

★ '2000:' A new platform was established on the east side of the tracks.
