'''Sweet Valley High''' was an American television series which was based on Francine Pascal's book series of the same name. It ran from September 5, 1994 to October 14, 1997, and was produced (and distributed) by Saban Entertainment.
After three successful seasons in syndication, the show was moved to UPN for its fourth season, and was cancelled due to poor ratings. The first season is available on DVD.
Originally, ''Sweet Valley High'' was a young adult book series created in 1984 by Francine Pascal and written by several ghostwriters, revolving around the lives of Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield, beautiful blonde twins who live in fictitious Sweet Valley, California.
