TAIPEI-KEELUNG METROPOLITAN AREA

The 'Taipei-Keelung metropolitan area' (Traditional Chinese: 台北基隆都會區) is the largest in Taiwan. The metropolitan area includes Taipei City, Taipei County and Keelung City.
As of April 2006, the total population of the Taipei-Keelung metropolitan area is 6,752,826. The total land area is 2,457.1253 km².
According to the definition of metropolitan areas used by the Republic of China government, The 'Taipei-Keelung metropolitan area' includes the following areas:

Taipei City (core city), (capital of the Republic of China)
