TARNOWSKIE GóRY

'Tarnowskie Góry' () is a town in southern Poland with 61,642 inhabitants (2005). Situated in the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), it was previously in Katowice Voivodeship (1975-1998). It is the seat of Tarnowskie Góry County.
Linguist Jan Miodek and former footballer Józef Wandzik are two notable people born in the town.
