'''The Bachelorette''' was spin-off of reality television dating game show, ''The Bachelor''. It debuted in 2003 on ABC, which took the runner-up date from the first season of ''The Bachelor'' (Trista Rehn), and let her choose a husband. The 2004 season of ''The Bachelorette'' again took the runner-up from the previous season of ''The Bachelor''. The show lasted from January 8, 2003 to February 28, 2005.

★ Season 1: Trista Rehn selected Ryan Sutter, and the two were married on TV in December 2003 in one of the most widely viewed programs in the history of reality television. They welcomed their first child, son Maxwell Alston, on July 26, 2007.

★ Season 2: Meredith Phillips, rejected by Bob Guiney, Season four's Bachelor, chose Ian McKee, but the two broke up in February 2005.

★ Season 3: Jennifer Schefft, selected by and subsequently broken up with Andrew Firestone in Season three's ''Bachelor'', chose the bachelor Jerry, an art gallery director, in a live final ceremony. During the last episode, Jerry proposed to Jennifer. She however, rejected his proposal stating that the chemistry was not there. Rumors circulated that she was dating her boss at the time.
