'''The Greenville News''' is a daily morning newspaper published in Greenville, South Carolina. Along with ''The State'' in Columbia and Charleston's ''Post and Courier'', it is one of the three largest papers in the Palmetto State.

History
The Greenville News started off as a four page publication in 1874. For a one year subscription it was eight dollars. The paper started off as The Greenville Daly News. They merged with the Piedmont and became The News-Piedmont. In 1995 Gannett bought The News-Piedmont and changed the name to 'The Greenville News'. Today 'The Greenville News' prints over 100,000 newspapers a day.
Publications
Besides The Greenville News itself, the company also publishes a newspaper/magazine called Link. It features local entertainment, news, photos, reviews and more. It is a free publication and is available at more than 1,100 locations in Anderson, Greenville, Pickens and Spartanburg counties.
