Band history

The Luchagors is a homage to the term Luchador, a Lucha libre performer. Dumas performed this style early in her professional wrestling career. It is combined with the word gore, as in horror films, of which Amy is a fan.
The band started out playing small gigs in and around the Atlanta area. Shortly afterwards, four tracks made their way around the internet. Three can be found on the band's MySpace ("White Boy", "All There Is" and "Already Gone"), while live performances of "Burn" and a cover of "I Wanna Be Sedated" by The Ramones have shown up on YouTube.

The band's world premiere show was at the Rock-n-Shock event, which was held at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia on September 14 2006.[1] The event took place to honor Sean Shocker.
In early 2007, they began recording their debut album, which is being produced by Skid Row bassist, Rachel Bolan.[2] They finished recording the tracks for their album, on March 17 2007.[3] However, in August 2007, a original member of the group, Troy the drummer, left the band.[4]
The self-titled debut album is set to be released on September 11 and is available for pre-order through their official site.[5]
