THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK & CODY
(Redirected from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody)
'''The Suite Life of Zack & Cody''' is an American children's television series that airs on the Disney Channel. This Disney Channel Original Series premiered on March 18, 2005, and was one of the first five shows available on the iTunes Store.[1]
The series stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse. They play Cody and Zack Martin, identical twins, whose single mother, Carey, is the headlining singer at the Tipton Hotel. Now they live in a five-star hotel in Boston as a provision of her contract. The series has spawned two video games: one for the Nintendo DS entitled ""[2] and a titular release for the Game Boy Advance.[3]
The show was originally called ''The Suite Life'', which is co-created by Danny Kallis, who was a writer, producer, and director for the TV series, ''Smart Guy''; and Jim Geoghan, who was a writer and producer for the TV series, ''Family Matters''. [4]
The series is the third Disney Channel Original to have more than 65 episodes, the first being ''That's So Raven'' and the second being ''Kim Possible''.
The show also airs on Saturday mornings on ABC.
'Zackary "Zack" Martin' (Dylan Sprouse) is always getting into trouble. Zack is usually dressed in skater clothes. He often sets out to get exactly what he wants. He has an obsession with girls. He has a huge crush on Maddie in the first season, though from the second season onward, little is said concerning whether he still has a crush on her. He occasionally sticks up for his brother, as seen in the episodes "Election", "Kept Man" and "Who's the Boss". He wants to be like his dad, Kurt. Other than in wood shop, he is known for not doing well in school.
Zack has a more "cool" attitude and does not have as much knowledge or common sense as Cody because Zack's mind is full of thoughts relating to girls and video games. While he is not the best student academically, in the episode Books & Birdhouses he showed that he is extremely apt at wood shop, to the point that his teacher decided to recommend him for advanced placement wood shop.
They are both are huge fans of the Boston Red Sox, and hate the New York Yankees. He likes skateboarding, basketball, and soccer all which he is good at. He is always playing pranks on his twin brother and is a lot messier than Cody is.
'Cody Martin' (Cole Sprouse) is the intellectual, mature, and sensitive twin, but he often plays along with his brother's crazy schemes. He shows less interest in girls than his brother, but he gets most of the girls even though he always says that Zack always gets the girl. He does seem to flirt a lot with a girl named Barbara Brownstein, but they are constantly competing on who is smarter. He has shown a passion for baking, cleaning, and cooking, as well as mime and dance. Cody is portrayed as easily frightened, but has a meaner and greedier side, portrayed in several episodes. Other than woodshop Cody is known for doing well in school.
'Madeline "Maddie" Fitzpatrick' (Ashley Tisdale) Her full name is "Madeline Margaret Genevieve Miranda Catherine Fitzpatrick". She is the teenage candy-counter girl at the Tipton Hotel, a cashier at the Cluck Bucket, counselor for her school's summer camp program, and is now in in Antarctica acording to London in "First Day of High School" and manages the Camp Tipton Daycare Center. While she comes from a lower class family, Maddie is very hard-working (she aspires to attend law school), outspoken, and intelligent. She attended private school at Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, but now she is attending Achievers High School with Zack, Cody, and London. Maddie is London's closest friend, though London often treats her like a servant, as in "Footloser", usually bribing her with money. Maddie also babysits Zack and Cody. Zack has a huge crush on her in Season 1. She is a strong supporter of environmental causes and she dreams of going to Paris and wants to go to law school.
'London Tipton', (Brenda Song) is the daughter of Wilfred Tipton, the owner of the Tipton Hotel. London is a dim-witted, spoiled, rich teenager with her own private suite at the Tipton Hotel in Boston, complete with a few closets (each with their own talking mirror) and a kitchen which takes up most of the floor. She transferred to the same private school as Maddie in the episode "Forever Plaid", due to poor attendance at her old school. She dislikes her step-moms and talks to Mr. Moseby and Maddie about her problems. When happy she usually claps her hands repeatedly while saying her catchphrase, "Yay me!" London often mentions her frenemy Portia Tenenbaum. Though it seems like London may lead the ultimate rich-girl life, her childhood was not perfect. London Tipton is a parody of Paris Hilton.
'Marion Moseby' (Phill Lewis) is the somewhat-uptight manager of the Tipton, who speaks with a wide vocabulary and an urbane vernacular but is often annoyed by the twins' schemes. Though he acts as though he does not care about the boys, he actually has a great deal of affection for them. In the episode "The Ghost of 613", it is revealed that he started out at the Tipton as a bellhop back in the 1970s.
'Carey Martin' (Kim Rhodes) is a headlining singer at the Tipton as well as the mother of Zack and Cody. She is a divorced mother, wise, kind, but somewhat aggressive towards the twins when they misbehave. She seems to love the twins a lot. Arwin Hawkhauser has a crush on her. She has a younger sister. She often dreams about George Clooney. Carey found her talent for singing by mistake when she was at a talent show doing stand-up comedy. She tries to keep the boys away from trouble, but she never prevails. Later in the second season, she changed her hair color from blonde to reddish-brown multiple times. As of Season 3, she has kept her brown hair and pulled her hair back in a small ponytail. When she is trying to teach the boys a lesson (Or in some cases other characters) she uses a story from her past, which is always boyfriend related, which leads to Zack and Cody or the other characters groaning.

''The Suite Life of Zack and Cody'' was created by Danny Kallis and Jim Geoghan. Production of the first season, which contained 26 episodes, began in fall 2004. The series premiered on March 18, 2005 and held the record of the highest-rated Disney Channel premiere (but was later beaten out by ''Hannah Montana'' in 2006 and ''Cory in the House'' in 2007). The series was so popular that Disney Channel ordered 39 episodes for a second season, which brought the total to 65, the usual limit of episodes Disney normally allows their series to go. During the second season, ''The Suite Life'' took part in a tri-episode crossover with fellow Disney Channel Original Series ''Hannah Montana'' and ''That's So Raven''. The crossover, entitled ''That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana'', aired on July 28, 2006. The show is currently broadcasting its third season, which began on June 23, 2007. All of the episodes that have aired belong to one story arc taking place during summer vacation. Ashley Tisdale's character Madeline Fitzpatrick only appears in four of the nine season three episodes that have already aired, makes a cameo appearance in two episodes, and does not appear at all in five episodes. This is due to her commitment to filming ''High School Musical 2''. .

They include Holly (first appeared in the episode, 'Have A Nice Trip') a little girl who gambles and hustles others by pretending to be horrible at a gamble at no stakes, then starts to win when the stakes increase (As Maddie told London "In half an hour she'll own the hotel!"), Amy, a horrible exaggerating liar and thief and Jasmine, a girl with anger management issues. Then there's Leah, a troubled "teen". She's taller than Maddie, is 12 years old, brushes her teeth with her grandmother's finger and her favorite lipstick is "kiss me charcoal". At one time the girls used London's phone calls to sell to the press for luxuries but by the next episode they were gone.
;Chivers High School
