THOMASBURG

'Thomasburg' is a municipality in the district of Lüneburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany.
Thomasburg is also a small hamlet in the Canadian province of Ontario. This small hamlets population does not exceed 1000 persons, and its location is only known to the outside area because of a natural spring that is centred in the middle of the hamlet. This spring provides fresh tasting drinking water to many in the Quinte region, and has been the location for at least one tour bus stop. However the water in the spring is no longer tested, and it is unknown if the water is even safe. No one has become sick as of yet and there are warnings posted that the water is untested. There is a fountain that draws the water from the spring, and until recently a local couple (the Newman’s) cleaned the property around the spring, while the owner of the property 'kept the water running'.
