'Thonon-les-Bains' (literally, Thonon-the-Baths) is a picturesque French spa town located on the south shore of Lake Geneva. Thonon is a commune and a ''sous-préfecture'' of the Haute-Savoie ''département''.
The town was the capital of Chablais, a province of the old Duchy of Savoy.
