'Tim Bueler' is the founder and president of High School Conservative Clubs of America, an organization that seeks to start conservative clubs in high schools across the nation.

In 2004, while attending Rancho Cotate High School, Bueler faced resistance from school officials and fellow students in response to an article he wrote in his club newsletter regarding illegal immigration. Some students who did not agree with his article began to threaten him and call him a "racist." His teachers suggested that he stay home from school for a few days to avoid confrontation, but Bueler refused. Rather, Bueler said that he had more right to be at school than those "damn mexican immigrants"

★ Conservative student club claims school officials censored the club's posters based on political viewpoint, however, according to Rancho Cotate High School's award winning newspaper, ''The Catamount'', school officials were following standard policy for material intended to incite violence and hate.

★ According to ''The Catamount'', some of the more questionable tactics of the Conservative club included staging a "day of noise" in direct opposition to the Gay Straight Alliance's (GSA) day of silence, meant to represent all Gays and Lesbians who are forced to stay silent for fear of being discriminated against.
