TINU YOHANNAN

'Tinu Yohannan' (b. 18 February 1979) is an Indian pace bowler from the state of Kerala who was for several years on the fringes of the national team. He finally forced his selection into the national squad in December 2001, in the home series against England. His father T. C. Yohannan was a long jumper who held the nation record in long jump for nearly 3 decades and represented India in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada.
Yohannan was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.[1]
Yohannan was a trier, but found international cricket to be a level above his abilities. In a modest career of 3 Test matches and an equal number of ODI's, Yohannan had little success, reflected by his career average of 51 in the longer version of the game.
