'Titlis' (3,238
m) is a mountain in the
Urner Alps in
Switzerland. It is located in the canton of
Obwalden in
Switzerland, overlooking
Engelberg and is famous as the site of the world's first revolving cable car. The cable car system connects Engelberg to the top through four principal stages (Gerschnialp,
Trübsee, Stand and Kleintitlis (3,020 m).
The last part of cable car way leads above the
glacier. In Kleintitlis, it is possible to visit a
glacier cave.
