TOM BROOK
'Tom Brook' (born 1953) is a BBC World presenter often seen presenting ''Talking Movies''.
Tom Brook was born in London, went to school in Hertfordshire and London, then to Cambridge University where he graduated with a degree in Economics. He joined the BBC in 1976 as a trainee. He's been reporting on the US film industry for the BBC since 1985. From 1985 to 1998 he was the US correspondent for the BBC flagship cinema show broadcast in the UK on BBC One. Over the years he has lent his cinema expertise to such BBC programmes as ''Breakfast News'', ''Correspondent'', ''Front Row'' and ''The Late Show''. He has been the presenter of ''Talking Movies'' since 1999.
Tom Brook is an internationally well known broadcast journalist. He diligently follows the scene in American cinema, both Hollywood and independent movies. He is often seen reporting from world's most important film festivals, including the Academy Awards ceremony in Hollywood.
In 1980 Tom Brook was posted to New York where he has stayed ever since. Living in lower Manhattan, he loves the Big Apple as much he loves cinema.
