TRAVIS KAUFFMAN
'Travis Kauffman' (b August 21, 1985 in Reading, Pennsylvania) is a US-American heavyweight boxer.
Kauffman whose father Marshall is a coach started boxing at the age of 9 and had his first amateur bout at 15.
A natural righthander he changes stances occasionally. His amateur record was 56-12 and he won the PAL tournament 2003 and was listed as the #1 heavyweight but was defeated by Travis Walker at the National Golden Gloves and later lost repeatedly to Mike Wilson (boxer) which made him turn pro at the age of 20.
As of 2007 his pro record is 10-0.
In June 2007 it transpired that he had consensual sex with a 12-year-old in January 2005 which is illegal ("statutory rape"), he is now facing a mandatory five- to 10-year sentence. He also is accused of selling marijuana March 18, 19 and 29, 2004, to undercover officers in Reading.
