TRESHNISH ISLES

Location of the Treshnish Isles

The 'Treshnish Isles' is an archipelago of small islands and skerries, lying west of Mull, in Scotland. They are part of the Inner Hebrides. From north to south, the larger islands include:

Cairn na Burgh Mòr

Fladda

Bac Mòr (''Dutchman's Cap'')

The Treshnish Isles are designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Protection Area[1] due to their importance for breeding seabirds and a marine Special Area of Conservation[2]. They are also known for their Atlantic Grey Seals and ruined castles.[3]
