TRESIGALLO
'Tresigallo' is an Italian commune in the region of Emilia-Romagna, in the province of Ferrara. It has about 4,754 inhabitants. The town is of medieval origins, but is notable for being transformed by a native son, the Fascist Edmondo Rossoni, into a "new town," re-built along "rational lines" between 1927 and 1934. Two axes were drawn across the town in order to link various aspects of daily life: the Church (spirituality) and the Balilla House, a youth center, renamed Casa della G.I.L (physical activity); the civic centre (everyday life) and the cemetery (memory).
