TRI-VALLEY

'Tri-Valley' is a region in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. The valley is based around the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon and Danville as well as the unincorporated towns of Alamo, Sunol, Blackhawk-Camino Tassajara in the three valleys from which it takes its name: Amador Valley, Livermore Valley and San Ramon Valley. The region can best be described as a bastion of affluent suburbanites.
There are a number of groups that work together in this area including Tri-Valley CAREs which is a community group form in opposition of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory but has grown to become an environmental lobby group. The Tri-Valley is serviced by WHEELS, formerly called Tri-Valley Transit, a bus agency that operates local bus service in addition to feeder service to Hacienda Business Park, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Las Positas College, Stoneridge Mall, and Dublin/Pleasanton Bart station.
