TULKAS

'Tulkas' is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. He appears in ''The Silmarillion''.
Tulkas is portrayed as the most warlike of the Valar, and the last of them to descend into Arda (the physical world) to help the others when he heard of their war with Melkor, the evil Vala. Melkor fled before him, and the Spring of Arda began.
After the Two Lamps were created and the Valar had made their first dwelling at Almaren, Tulkas married Nessa in a great feast. He then slept, and Melkor decided his hour to retaliate had come.
Tulkas is described as enjoying wrestling and contests of strength. He is described as being slow to anger, but also slow to forgive — for that reason, he was one of the Valar who opposed Melkor's release from prison after he tried to take over the world.
