'Twombly' is an unorganized territory located in Penobscot County, Maine. As of the 2000 census, the unorganized territory had a total population of 2. According to the United States Census Bureau it is one of only 5 places in the United States with a population of two people. The others are Success, New Hampshire, Hove Mobile Park, North Dakota, Oil Springs Reservation, Cattaraugus County, New York, and Monowi, Nebraska.
