Fifty-three of the ship's crew members are killed during the ship's participation in the M-5 computer test. The registry is not seen on-screen but comes from the ''Star Trek Encyclopedia''.
; ''USS Lexington'' (NCC-14427) : An ''Excelsior''-class starship that appears in the '' episode "Thine Own Self". The ship rendezvouses with the USS ''Enterprise''-D to transfer medical supplies for delivery to a colony.
; ''USS Lexington'' (NCC-61832) : A ''Nebula''-class starship that appears in the '' episode ''Explorers'' and aboard which Doctor Elizabeth Lense was chief medical officer.
