USS JACAMAR
The U.S. Navy lists two vessels bearing the name 'USS Jacamar':
★ The first 'USS Jacamar' is the USS Jacamar (AMc-47), a wooden-hulled coastal minesweeper, which was launched by Greenport Basin & Construction Co., Greenport, Long Island.
★ The second 'USS Jacamar' is the USS Jacamar (AMCU-25) which was originally LSIL-870. She was reclassified and named in 1952; converted and commissioned 12 January 1954.
