UNINCORPORATED FAR WEST REGION
The 'Unincorporated Far West Region' refers to the part of New South Wales which is not part of any Local Government Area; it is in the Far West containing small towns such as Tibooburra. It surrounds Broken Hill, but does not include it, which is in the separate City of Broken Hill.
It has an area of 93,299.2km² ABS 2004 National Regional Profile : Unincorporated NSW (Local Government Area) Australian Bureau of Statistics
, which is about the same size as Hungary. In 2001 the region had a census population of 2,896.[1] It has the highest gender ratio in NSW, estimated at 134.6 males per 100 females in 2004.
