UNIVERSITY OF PROVENCE

The 'University of Provence Aix-Marseille I' is a university located in both Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. It is one of the Universities of Aix-Marseille.
It was founded in 1409. In the academic year of 2005-2006, 22,885 students were enrolled, 17,714 in the arts and 5,171 in the sciences. The ratio of female:male in this year was almost 2:1. Almost 3,500 students came from countries other than France.
Its campuses are located across Provence with locations in Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Aubagne, Lambesc and Marseille.
