VALANDOVO MUNICIPALITY


'Valandovo' (Macedonian: Валандово) is a municipality in southern Republic of Macedonia. ''Valandovo'' is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is found.

Geography


The municipality borders Demir Kapija municipality in the north-west, Konče municipality in the north, Strumica municipality in the north-east, Greece in the east, Dojran municipality and Bogdanci municipality in the south, and Gevgelija municipality in the south-west.

Demographics


According to the last National census from 2002 this municipality has 11,890 inhabitants.
Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
